The Challenge
Environmentally conscious clients wanted their garden to support local wildlife. They were willing to sacrifice some lawn for a more ecologically valuable space.
Our Approach
We installed a natural wildlife pond with varying depths and native marginal planting. Surrounding beds were planted with native species chosen for their wildlife value, and a small meadow replaced part of the lawn.
The Result
Key Achievement
Wildlife pond created, native planting, significant biodiversity increase
The garden has become a haven for wildlife within the first season. Frogs, newts, and dragonflies appeared almost immediately, and bird species visiting the garden have tripled.
